I know I am not the only passionate bow hunter here so lets start a little thread on what you are getting into during the bow season. The link below will take you to the Midwest whitetail page where my season so far has been posted. I have three doe down in three sits here in PA. Time to switch gears to hunting bucks and filming my brother now that I am out of doe tags. http://www.midwestwhitetail.com/publish/posts/3004/doefest.html

Congratulations Jared,

Does your state offer cwd test on (DNR) deer if you take them in. Our state does and maybe if everyone would take 100% of the wild hunted deer to be tested for cwd the DNR would have to pay the bill, but wait they are government employed and they don't pay their bills, they will probably just dump all the heads at the landfill and say a-okay. I am going to take in every wild deer I shoot for testing, just like I have to test every deer I raise that dies.

Good job Jared

I have only got to hunt one time so far and I took a big fat doe.

Here in MO. we get free land owner tags so I have five more does and a any deer Tag to fill before I have to use my purchased tags. Then I can get two more buck or doe. Good luck

Awesome start Jared. Good shooting, and Great job managing the doe population. Getting deer with a bow is the ultimate thrill in my opinion. I have been out a few times, just some does and a spike are all I seen so far. On our 164 acre property our goal is to shoot 8 points or bigger, and most years we shoot no does. But this year we have a lot so we'll probably take 2-3 of them. I love managing deer, I don't shoot one every year, but its still a whole different level of excitement of hunting and Its amazing how much nicer the bucks are getting here in the last 3-4 years of strict management.
