Automatic Misting system how often? How long?

your manufacturer should be able to tell you. I purchased one this yr...I bought the pump from one place and nozzles from another as they were $5 cheaper EACH. There's a bunch of variables bro and you can call me if you have any questions.


a 150 gph pump was recommended to me every 10 - 15 ft. I found a place that offered a 250gph pump which i got due to the long runs. I placed my nozzles 20' apart thinking i can add others in between if more were needed. We fired the system up Monday after a week of installation and the next day there were NO bugs. I zoned the system with manual valves and we do half the pens one day and half the other. the place i got my nozzles from was a tremendous help!!! I am SUPER HAPPY with the system i got and how we ran it


 


1) depends on the pump. start at 20' and add at 10 later if needed


2) Yes..you can spray inside a barn


3) Do NOT get it in the food/water. Move it somewhere away from it. Middle of pen. A little residual is ok


4) I started off 4 times a day for 60 seconds. the permethrin has good staying power and will stick to the grass


 


again..a lot depends on size of pens, how many nozzles, how many bugs. We don't have a lot of flies this yr but other flying bugs are heavy and have all disappeared. we use a permethrin/pbo mix so they don't get immune to straight permethrin
