Bill # 5807 was introduced into the Michigan State house on Feb.11 and sent to committee. This bill proposes to place administration of the cervid act back to the Michigan Deptartment of Agriculture. Thank you Alex Draper for your years of tireless effort to make this happen thanks also, to the United Deer Farmers of Michigan. Now we can start our job of work and get this bill passed into law and get Michigan deerfarming back on track !! Unrelated but I want to share Mark Grimmette from my home town of Muskegon MI. will carry the American flag into the opening of the Winter Olympics ! go Mark:)

We are trying to get the same legislation passed in Mississippi. If anything we have will help with your argument, let us know and I will send it to you.

I know NADEFA has a lot of experience doing this around the country as well. I think WI was one of the first to get switched from DNR to Agr - back about when CWD hit - 2002. I know we wouldn't go back.
