Breeding Using a Buck Fawn

As I sit here pondering breeding and ai this upcoming fall, i am wondering what everyone's opinions are on using a fawn to breed? I know it's risky with him not having horns yet so i would be breeding him purely on pedigree. (which by the way is Energizer/Texas Tea) The does i want to put in with him are very well pedigreed too so if he can't get the job done i lose breeding on them with ai. It's a catch 22 for sure

what's your thoughts?

I put a Sunstroke buck fawn in with 3 adult doe last year, he bred 2 of the 3. They were born a little late one had them on 6/26, and the other 7/12. Normally would be around Late May Early June.

Zane, Did you synchronize the doe or just leave him in with them for the winter?

I think i would do cidr and pmsg AND then leave him in with the doe for the winter

I had come to find out later that i used a sterile buck one year. I seen him breed all through November but come May I had no fawns. But I remembered back in January seeing a button buck that I left in with them, doing some breeding. In August and September I had fawns. He only bred 2/6 adult doe and they were very late. So it is risky for sure.
