Can Deer and Elk co-exist in pen?

A friend of mine has 10+ acres fenced in. He has 4 elk and I am wondering if I introduce my doe (15 mos. old) into his pen whether they will co-exist peacefully?

Does anyone here have a minute or two to share their experience?

I would be grateful.

in 10 acres I would see no problem, if the elk attempt to beat her up with their hooves, then the doe will have plenty of room to flee.

There is a farmer near me that has Deer and Elk together but they are in 32 acres but still all together, no issue so far
