I have to admit those "scrap heap, over priced, meat does" I've been sellin the last few years have really come to produce great profitable bucks for everyone who's bought one! It's amazing what you can do with a small budget and a solid knowledge of breeding. Besides the both of you I can make a long list of farms who got great looking sons from my last 3 sires.
Slingshot - Dan Wagner had a 164" @ 1 son which went well into the 200s from one of my bred does, and I know his twin brother was pretty big too. Vinny Fugazzotto had a 175" @ 1 son and his brother is over 200" @ 2 this year both born on his farm. His buddy Terry Bixler showed me some MONSTER framed SS 2yrolds 200"+ out at the PA Sale coming from my live breedings.
Roosevelt - Besides my 286" @ 2 son, Mike you had those twins 140s & 160s @ 1 along with Scotts yearling, those are the only ones out there!
Birchwood - Scott your yearling is the biggest typical, along with Grant Lazarus' nice framed yearling. The 2yrold full brother I have to your buck has gotta be near 180". The biggest BW yearling I know of is from Rick Miller out in Tyrone, Pa; he was 161" and had a great frame, I scored him myself!
I'm much appreciative of continued business. It's not all about name, or about advertising. Promoting your farm and increasing sales is all about selling animals that will produce every time and in doing so leave plenty of room for the new owners to make profit from the animals they bought from you. It helps build a good relationship with other farms and helps bring the business cycle full circle. I'm glad to help new farmers start off and in 18 years me and my dad have done plenty of that! Even if they end up calling you about 2-3x a day 5x a week and rack your brain on every possible subject deer related for the past 3 years. Haha, Scott, I'm just playin with ya. But seeing you post your animals and have so many great compliments makes me feel proud of a job well done and I'm much appreciative of that, thank you again for the business and opportunity.
