DC, I wish you wouldn't have started this thread. The title is "Clean big typicals". You know that is just an argument waiting to happen. There will be more bucks that aren't clean posted, than those that are clean.
I have nothing against the clean ones or the ones with extras. Personally I like big frames with some extras and that is what I breed for.
Jay i gonna get down ther soon. i want to see Pj, i know exactly rog , i too like few extras, but just maybe i can see a few clean tall, wide 8 10 12 14, 16 pointers, if you think he is typical enough post it!! and few kickers do look good.DC
Here is my breeder. This is from last year, real nice typical but this year he hit fence early and doesnt look so typical on the one side. He is 2 in the pic.
He has no real good pedigree got him from a guy from eastern pa says this line is supose to blow up at 3 (to bad he hit the fence early). His dad was 200 @ 3 and grand sire on dam side was 190s @ 3 but both were only 140s @ 2. My buck was 160 @ 2 to bad ill have to wait to see what he does at 4 this year his one side looks real good but the other side is messed up looking.
Here is our Big Typical Shock n Awe on the Walk farm. He looks like he could set a new standard for the Clean typical world in the industry with only one sticker showing so far and no trash at his bases. He was 240 last year in velvet,230+ hard antler and had a NET score 200+ in hard antler after deducting a 5 7/8's inch G6.
Rick, Shock n Awe was 22 1/4 last year inside and he looks like he is a couple inches wider this year. He has a huge body 300+ pounds so he is always a little wider when i get up to him. The last two years he had tines exceeding 13". I hope to see them again this year considering his width increase.
