I Have a bottle feed doe fawn that I have been holding from introduction into a larger pen due to EHD. I have noticed a couple of time the urine looked redish or orangish but I blamed it on the Calf manna. I finally took a urine sample to the vet and when they spun it down they said it was full of crystals. I was given uroeze 400 to put in the feed for a week and then recheck. A friend told me Vinegar is given to goats for this. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

what milk are you feeding it??

I had the same problems with a couple of buck fawns. I had the water tested and it was very high in calcium and particulate count. Changed water source and it cleared up.

Buck fawns are more susceptible to this due to the design of their urinary track. Very tight 180 degree turns. City water could be high in minerals anyway. But I wonder how much water she is drinking?

city water was my problem. ***** at the city water board told me the problem was between my meter and the house after I showed him the water test results I had run.

I went to well water after that. Lot of trouble but no more problems.
