A new deer farming seminar is being offered at Apple Creek Whitetails in Gillett, Wisconsin (near Green Bay). Safe Capture classes will be offered Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday of the seminar will cover topics such as general herd health, fawn care, genetics, feed and nutrition, fencing, pen design, deer handling, marketing, and record keeping. Wednesday morning’s session will also include tranquilization training and target practice. Friday’s session will be artificial insemination training and proper semen handling.
Registration can be made for all five days, two days for Safe Capture classes, or for the three days of general topic discussions. For those wishing to attend only Friday’s AI training, please call to make arrangements for a one day registration. Registration fees will be reduced by $50.
