Last month I was quoted 1.25 to 1.50 a mile round trip and that was making 4 stops through MO picking up 8 deer, but I’m sure as the fuel prices continue to rise the per mile rate will increase.

Make sure whoever hauls your deer have the proper licenses -if stopped without them they can be detained with deer on the trailer .Make sure they know the laws for each state going through.I usually charge 2.65-2.75 a loaded mile.

Also of great importance is the reliability of the truck(lower miles /good shape) and the type of trailer and ease of loading or unloading -ventalation and or air conditioning.Don't try to save 10$ if it risks animals worth thousands.
