This might be a stupid question but I have to ask it.


I was wondering if it is possible to DNA a fawn back to his grand sire if the sire is dead?


So I guess I am asking if a fawn has the same DNA as it's grandparents?
 
Whitetails can only be DNA confirmed back to Direct sire and Dam at this time.
 
Cassie, You can also dna to antlers so even if he is deceased there might be antlers still. But before that you need what Josh said.  Eldon
