I have a 1 yr old doe she has had the runs for about 2 weeks and is getting thin. I have been putting probiotics in food for a week. I gave her 3ml valbazen 2 days ago and she was freely eating shock effect probiotics from my hand, maby about 2 teaspoons. She has dark green runny poop. Should I give more valbazen soon? She weighs about 75 lbs. She acts fine and is eating a lot more than others. She was last wormed on Feb 2nd with safeguard pellets. She has lots of clover and browes in pen. Thanks for any help. Bill

You could try darting with baytril. I'm assuming since you gave valbezen she is not pregnant. May want to run a fecal sample and see what comes from it. Could be a rota or corona virus

We have a 10 year old doe and she had been loose for most of the late winter early spring. After trying everything and having zero luck, we tried something crazy. We use energizer (fawn paste from Orion Whitetails) for our new born fawns. I gave 6 cc of the energizer to her soaked in bread. We had to ball it up so she didn't taste it and spit it out, but did get it all down. Within a day and a half she was normal. She started putting weight back on immediately and looks awesome. On Sunday she gave use twin bucks and is still doing great. Also on the Energizer, this is the first year using it and our fawns are doing amazing, love this product!

Scours can also be caused by a parasite that lives in the lining of the small intestine. A Vet could look at a sample and find it and prescribe drugs. Also check with your local Ag Extension service they might be able to hook you up with a Vet there that could help.
