I've gotta agree with Scott on this one here and not just because he's talking about one of my does. I have 3 Reno daughters, two of them have a womb brother who was a monster 180" framey yearling last year and put another 50" on this year's rack and managed to keep the ridiculous frame. One of those does got bred as a fawn to Roosevelt and gave me one of my largest yearlings this year approx 150" and July born! Both ***** gave single doe fawns from AI to Lonewood and Maxbo Ebenezer. The other Reno doe I have is from Birchwood's grandmother and her two brothers have the biggest buttons on the farm. They both are bigger then Roulette was at this point so who knows how big they will get next year. And to top it all off that little "Vixen" as we call her will be bred to Lonewood next year so I think it's a strong bet to say there will be another 300" three year old from a Reno **** here very soon because those fawns will have identical pedigrees to Birchwood, just replace Royal Flush with Reno and here we go again!
I don't mean to run on but I must stress how impressed I was on my visit to the Sipes farm this year. Just the sheer numbers of big antlers, big bodies and everything that goes with it; the common factor among a large majority of those boys being... Marlin. The buck surely isn't getting enough credit anymore, I think he needs to start being mentioned more when we start talking about super sires.
