I just finished reading an article on E coli in fawns that had a lot of good information. In the article the author suggested the use of Excenel for 3 days but he did not mention a dose. The author got his information from Russ Walk. Is there any one that knows the dose that worked best?
 
4/10ths cc. on the first day, 3/10ths cc for the next three days. We used this one a fawn this year with great results. We also used Target fawn paste and had great results. A full tube once a day. I am a believer in the Target paste. While we were treating these two, I mix collodial silver into all the bottles for all 25 fawns. This is really good stuff. Expensive, but good. Good luck
 
I cant respond on what to do once they get it, I have never had it on our farm. We do give a oral ecoli preventative at birth...??????
 
There are many great drugs to use on Ecoli. The only way to tell which drug will work the best, is to do a fecal and have a drug susceptibility test performed. This will isolate the specific strain of ecoli and give you the proper drug to use.

There are so many different types of Bacteria...
