(40,40,40); We have a two month old doe fawn, we noticed this morning she had one ear drooping and was shaking her head a bit. it almost seemed like a fly got into it and was annoying her. she's been energetic, eating well, no scours, no cough, no drippy nose. No other symptoms. This evening we decided to give her zactran and baytril and soon after she is down, almost acts like shes been tranquilized. Her heart is steady, her temp seems normal, but she's not extremely responsive and won't get up. she keeps dropping her head. I have no idea what is wrong with her - we've never had anything like this happen. Any ideas on any of it? She just went down within the last 30 minutes and hasn't stood since.

she had stopped shaking her head earlier in the day so this was not an ongoing symptom, but the droopy ear is.  even though she is bottle fed and handled, shes always been a little crazy and likes to run into fences  so injuring her ear was a possibility also.

Anaphylactic Shock from the meds possibly.  I had one do this and I gave her a half cc of epinephrine.  This is just a guess.  Did she make it?

A droppy ear sounds like either an ear infection or a symptom of dehydration?  When you pull her skin, does she seem hydrated?  Are her eyes sunk at all?
