Fawn Feeding schedule?

Who thinks this is the right way?





Whitetail Bottle Feeding Chart



First 2 weeks stimulate with warm/wet paper towel or baby wipes every time you feed.

After 2 weeks stimulate every other feeding for 10 more days.



(Week 1) 1st 3-4 days straight red cap milk. 3-8oz 4 times daily 7:00 am 12:00 am 5:00 pm 10:00 pm



(Week 2) Then mix 1/2 cup milk replacer mixed with 1 gal. red cap milk, feed up to 2 weeks of age 5-10oz 4 times daily7:00 am 12:00 am 5:00 pm 10:00 pm



(Week 3)Then mix 1 cup milk replacer mixed with 1 gal. red cap milk, feed up to 3 weeks of age 9-12oz 3 times daily 7:00 am 3:00pm 10:00pm



(Week 4) Then mix 2 cups milk replacer mixed with 1 gal. red cap milk, feed up to 4 weeks of age 12-16oz 3 times daily 7:00 am 3:00pm 10:00pm



(Week 5) Then mix 2 cups milk replacer mixed with 1 gal. red cap milk, feed up to 5 weeks of age 12-16oz 3 times daily 7:00 am 3:00pm 10:00pm



(Week 6) Then mix 3 cups milk replacer mixed with 1 gal. red cap milk, feed up to 6 weeks of age 10-15oz 3 times daily 7:00 am 3:00pm 10:00pm



(Week 7) Then mix 3 cups milk replacer mixed with 1 gal. red cap milk, feed up to 7 weeks of age 16oz 2 times daily 8:00 am 8:00 pm



(Week 8) Then mix 3 cups milk replacer mixed with 1 gal. red cap milk, feed up to 8 weeks of age 10-15oz 2 times daily 8:00 am 8:00 pm



(Week 9) Then mix 2 cups milk replacer mixed with 1 gal. red cap milk, feed up to 9 weeks of age 10-15oz 2 times daily 8:00 am 8:00 pm



(Week 10) Then mix 1 cups milk replacer mixed with 1 gal. red cap milk, feed up to 12 weeks of age 10-15oz 1 time daily 12:00 am until weaning

Mine were always on 3x a day unless they were small.

3 times per day....what times? what amounts? Do you add any supplement to the redcap when feeding times are that far apart?

I do three times a day. All they want..add nothing

I've found the amount depends on the size of the fawn. Sometime all they want will give them loose stool. I increace every few days to see how they do. As for the time i feed every 8 hours which is 3 times a day. you can adjust for your on liking. Mine is 5:30am, 1:30pm and 9:30 pm. Just what works for me

3 times a day here after the first week. Just Redcap with Shock Effect liquid. Depends on the fawn size as to the ozs per feeding!

We Feed 3x/Day unless They Are Small Or Don't Take As Much As They Should To Start With Then We Will Go 4-5x/Day To Get In Them What They Need

I Leave The Prichard Nipple Hole Small SoThey Don't Gorge Themselves And Make Them Work A Little For It.

The baby is almost 8 weeks old now, shes getting 15oz redcap 3 times a day....should i cut her back to two times now? Shes eating grain and grass as well.

At that age I start fazing out the middle bottle by 2 oz. per day. I also raise the other feedings to 16 oz. When that bottle is gone I offer a water bottle instead. Just what I do.

when you guys say red cap....are you really talking about the 2% Vit D milk you'd buy in the store???

not the 2% milk, GradeA Vitamin D milk. Most stores have a red cap on these gallon jugs.
