This is my first year bottle feeding fawns. They are doing great on the bottle. My question is how old do they need to be before introducing solid food to them, and what are you feeding them. I have heard a few guys say calf pellets.

I like to use Calf Manna, by Manna Pro. I buy it at Tractor Supply.

If you dont have them where they can get to dirt then you need to get some dirt and Calf Manna in front of them as soon as a week old. They will hit the dirt first and work there way into the grain.

We would break the calf mana in half and stick one or two pellets in the side of their cheeks. Couple days after doing that they are eating it outta the palm of your hand. Good way to keep their stool stiff

My little bottle girl started chewing around on greens at 4 days old. At 8 days she started eating 3-4 tiny apple pieces, but no feed stuff yet. I've been sticking a mini pellet into her mouth several times, so far she spits it back out. My fawns ate dirt already on first and second day when still out with mom. I feed Sportsman Deer & Elk feed (TSC), mixed with some 14 % forage companion, 16 % dairy mix and a little bit cracked corn. At times I add sunflower seeds or grits (yes, those for humans) for extra iron, calcium etc. (see label on container). Fawns born 5/31
