I have a fawn that all of a sudden has stopped taking the bottle and has loose stool and temp is 99.3. Any thoughts?

You could try putting pumpkin pie filling in with the milk and it will firm her poo up but maybe she has something else going on also?

Dont mess around with this to long. I lost a fawn this year to these same symptoms. She was eating fine then slowly ate less to the point where she wouldn't take bottle at all. In fact the day she wouldnt take the bottle is the day she passed. I have since learned of a product that you can buy at TSC that is for goats (goat electra lite) that you feed them for a few days in place of milk and it will firm their stool back up.

I had problems with my 2 bottle doe fawns too. Started when I was dumb enough to let them drink more than their 4 oz at that time. I always add pumpkin to red cap milk. Resorted to Kaopectate, goats milk, electrolytes, etc., took them off bottle completely for a day and fed save a lamb only, all to no avail. Decided to put them back with the adults, rather than losing them. My does let everybody that cares to nurse, so they took care of the little ***** right away. I spent a LOT of time watching and checking their rear ends. Took only a few days until things were back to normal, so I pulled them again. Have been fine since. I was sure though that there was no disease involved. Just a thought in case you have ongoing problem.
