Have a fawn approx. 3 days old, has bloody discharge coming out and appears to strain or a little humped up at times like needing to go.Any advice on treatment or thoughts would be appreciated.

I would get a fecal sample done. If he has coccidia- vet will give you Albon to treat him. Try giving him some crushed pumpkin (no spices, just pumpkin) in his formula.

Are you stimulating him to pee/poop regularly? At each feeding?

It is next to impossible

for a 3 day old fawn to have coccidia. Most likely you are dealing with ecoli, Lanasvet is right get a fecal done.

Ecoli is tricky. You must have the lab do a drug suseptabilty test. This will determine which drugs will work best. I would start with enrofluxin. Most likely one of the best overall drugs for Ecoli.
