Has anyone ever tried Guinea Fowl for Fly Control? Last year I tried “Fly Predators” for natural fly control. IF they were effective, I can’t imagine the uncontrolled infestation level we’d of had. I’ve read that Guinea Fowl are great insect eaters. Is there a down side to having a few in the pens? Is there a better alternative to fowl, fogging or chemical controls?

Give j.r. roy a call ,he installs mistaway systems. They work great and j.r. is a super guy. His number is 205-668-0801

You should incorporate garlic into your feed and find yourself commercial fly catchers. Will Ainsworth's PA ranch uses a real nice fly catcher. I visited that farm this past year and there were hundreds of thousands of flies in each one. I started using garlic last year and I can tell you that it works! Some manufacturers will incorporate the garlic right into a feed pellet, I mix the granulated stuff right into my feed.

Hope this helps.

I agree Daniel, Garlic has been very effective for us as well. Does anyone know what type of fly catchers Will Ainsworth uses. I seen them on Deer and Wildlife stories but never got the brand name.

I too am interested in finding out where I can get those fly catchers. When I spoke to the ranch Manager about them, it appeared that they weren't mass produced but instead custom. I think he said a guy from Canada. Don't quote me on that. Please let me know if you get any leads.

Too All:

Thanks for the responses. I've noticed in many ad fliers, deer are covered in flies in the photos, so I'm not surprised to see the interest. Thanks again!
