Has anyone ever experienced foot rot? We have a buck that has it on both front feet and 2 that have it on the right rear ft. I found out it was contageous so they are all separated. Been treating them with7cc of Nuflor and soaking them in a 50/50 mix of iodine and peroxide every few days. We got 20 tons of #4 limestone to put around feed troughs, water, and any muddy areas. bought zinc sulphate and also put it in the muddy areas. Is there anything else anyone has experienced that helps?

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. Prolly spent $1000 in meds the past few months
 
Best treatment in my opinion is LA-300 or NU flor.  I also gave the shot for foot rot for cattle when I had that five years back.  It took awhile but we beat it.  The shot might protect the other deer from getting it.  I don't remember the mix but what you are using doesn't sound right for foot rot.  I can look that up if you want as I write most everything down we have had and the treatment.
 
I purchased an autogenis vaccine that Dr, Shane had made from the pus of a deer with foot rot but it is preventive measure for the other deer. He also said told me to soak in the iodine/peroxide mix. I am willing to try anything. I have researched everything possible online. I am here because i know i am not the first to have this..nor the last. I know there is a fellow farmer that has had this in deer and beat it

Nuflor ,la 300 , banamine for pain and use 18 g needle and try and suck pus out and flush it out. Keep the close to food and water so they don't have to travel far. Good luck.

i dont think its foot rot... im sure its fusil bacteria,,, i treat it with pro 300 or tetradur i inject as much pennicilin right into the foot as i can till it oozes out of the holes in the foot and a shot of pro 300 in muscle 10cc i have even cut of the one toe before and it healed up fine with no limp at all iv had deer for 25 yrs there is a vac for it called fusil guard good luck
