Hey guys... Any help will be appreciated.

We are running a deer farm in northern Mexico, recently we have been treating two bucks who has footrot , we already vaccine them with antibiotics one a week but there's no change at all.

What vaccine do you recommend to treat this infection?

Thanks for your help

im 99% sure its fusil bacteria 10cc pro 300 in muscle also inject infected area with pennicilin till it oozes out of holes in foot theres a vacine called fusil guard

Ragu64 is more than likely right it is a fuso bacteria infection. That will take a year to get better by the time it is cleared up and grows out. His program will work but will require many shots as most tetracycline require shots about every 48 hours. One that will last longer and works well on fuso infections is zactran which will last 10 to 15 days in the deer system. I also have used Nuflor and pen like he did for the tetracycline treatment but is is also every 48 hours on treatment. When it gets in the bone it is very hard to clear up.
The shot for fuso is a cattle shot and called Fuso Guard or you could get one made from your animals at New Port labs for your animals. That would protect your other deer from getting it. It is in the ground and will be there for a very long time. You would be best served to have your fuso infection vaccine made specifically from your deer as it is one of the worst cases I have seen.
I hate to say this but I think your fawning season will have big problems with Fuso bacteria which will end up in the fawns mouth around their teeth and they lose teeth and will also cause pus pockets in their face. If it goes into their body, intestines, liver or heart the fawns die. About the only way to protect the fawns is vaccinate the does for fuso so the fawns have good colostrum from the mother and start the fawns on fuso bacteria shots at birth. Josh Newton has a shot program for this and it has worked for me very well. If the vaccine doesn't cover the right fuso bacteria it will not work so again it would be best to have New Port Lab make one from your deer so it covers your problem. If I had this problem I would chance the Josh Newton vaccine as the making of the vaccine from your deer will take some time and when the vaccine comes in from New Port Lab I would put it in all the fawns I could and the adult deer.
Did these deer survive EHD as that can also make their feet do this.

We are injecting Tetradur LA300 (oxytetracycline) and in the food we added oxytetracycline to keep the dose continuous.

Fynadine to reduce inflammation
