Probabley hit the fence , some type of possible injury!! Ehd can also cause that, any other deer with ehd? Dexamethazone helps with swelling if she has injury, I would pull her and bring inside your barn and keep her from hurting herself more, also get a empty syringe and get some milk in her, survive d works good in milk! I had this happen last year and its a long haul to recovery! A little bose would not hurt either, clostridium is also a possibility! Is she bloated? Any other help here guys?????????
The only fawn I've had flopping was purposely injured by the mother. Something was wrong with her and mom knew she wouldn't survive. But there were obvious wounds inflicted. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
