Jack oliver and I are putting together a contest where you pay $25 per 2014 white or pied buck fawn to be entered. From that point on your buck is entered. At the end of the 2015 growing season the largest or prettiest yearling will win all the prize money. Voting will be done on the whitetail deer for sale group on Facebook where over 3500 deer farmers and related people will vote on the winner. All pictures submitted will be velvet pictures if you by chance have to cut antlers the last picture you take will be your entry. If the buck fawn should die before growing season the entry fee is non refundable to make it fair to the winner. Pieds must be 10% white to be considered colored for this game. This contest is open to any farmer anywhere with a colored 2014 buck fawn. Tell your friends and fellow farmers.

Pretty cool idea!!  Now if I only had some pieds...

Should be a fun way to promote the colored side of our industry and have had some interest in it already so it should make for a nice prize too.


I got the idea from everyone putting money out there for the biggest yearling from there semen. Jack helped me get it going with rules and a place for voting

Can you give more details on contest

Main rules are

¤Entry must be a 2014 buck fawn

¤entry must be white or pied with 10% of body being white (not just high socks)

¤$25 per entry picture of entry must be accompanied with payment, be sure ear tag number is visible

¤All entrys must be entered before growing season and/or March 1st

¤Final entry pictures must be entered by September 1st 2015

¤Pictures will be posted on the whitetail deer for sale group on Facebook September 3rd where over 3500 of our peers have a chance to vote for the largest, nicest looking yearling

¤Voting will end September 10th and results will be tallied

¤Winner should be announced September 11th 2015 depending on how many votes need to be counted

¤Only one vote per voter will be counted, all voting will be done in the comment section of the post, entries can not be voted on by owner

¤If buck should unfortunately need to be cut or were to die, the last picture will be used as final entry to make it fair for all who have entered.

¤ Velvet pictures are the main picture were looking for but if you want to submit hard horn you have the right to make that your entry


Final rule this game is a chance to promote your colored bucks in a fun senerio but more importantly lets show the industry the colored side of the industry.
