Anyone have some economic studies backgound? Is there a phrase for an economic strategy which markets outside an industry. Ie. deer producers marketing to deer producers vs deer producers marketing hunts, meat, ecotourism to the general public... (outside the border of an existing industry)...Help!! Writing an article and I know there must be an economic phrase for this strategy...

Also, who out there is marketing your product outside the deer industry to the general public? ie/ tv shows, educational tours, ecotourism? Any suggestions? I am writing up a few examples... Post some names/products here for me please...

Vertical integration.

A simple example would be were a deer farmer grows his or her own feed, to ensure a safe & regular supply for themself. They also produce a surplus which they sell. The farmer is growing deer for a hunting reserve. He/she has trouble with supply & demand, or wants better value for the product, & feels it would be better to do it themselves, so opens his/her own hunting reserve.

The above are examples of up downstream & upstream integration.
