Help with fawn

I am new to deer farming and this is first issue I have had. I got a doe fawn that has got the runs. I have. Been told to give her a shot of draxton. I already have a bottle of la 200 can I give her that or do I need to use the draxton? She is a small fawn probably out 45lbs. Thanks for help

I would first have a Vet look at her stool to look for parasites.  He should also check it for coccidiosis or giardia.  You need to know what you have before you just put in a antibiotic.

Thanks I just got in touch with vet that is goin to check stool out for me. He told me same thing you just did.

Good to hear I'm on the same track as a Vet.  After almost 40 years of game ranching I did pick up a little knowledge that I can share with people.


When you find out what you are treating please share with us that information.  I'm guessing some type of parasite.
