So pneu dart sent me a rebuild kit for a 176b that is leaking air. The kit has a new pin that punctures the co2 but can't see how this part is removed. It seems there is another spring in this area to. The rest of the gun came apart nicely. Any help would be great. Thnx jason

Thanks for that diagram. It helps but a can't seem to get part G397-008 apart. It must unscrew but without any flat sides to hold i can't get it apart. I put back together and I'll try it tomorrow. I think the bad seal was where the cartridge seats.

This is just a guess, but by the diagram there may be a snap ring that holds the G397-008 cartridge together from the opposite end of the pin.  .....Just a guess.

It does unscrew which takes great care. I put the main housing in a pipe vise. Wrap it first so you don't scar the housing then twist off the end.

The thing I learned is you don't have to torque the shaft that compresses the cylinder. I blew out 2 of those seals where the cylinder makes contact. Just hand tighten till you feel resistance then dry fire once to get your full pressure in the chamber.

Ya the o ring in the housing is blown out. So I tried to get it apart with out any luck. I ordered a new assembly today.
