We are out of mule deer and very close to out of 2017 sheep. We will have new lambs in May and my hybrid rocky Mountain ewes were LAP AI'd to the best pure rocky ram I have ever collected from. He had 18 1/2 inch bases and horn length of 44 inch's Here are some pictures of sheep we are raising. Hope you like them.
March 23, 2018 we were on the internet and have sold all the sheep we wanted into MN, NM, Texas and PA. Found new homes for about 46 head.

Nice looking animals Jack!!!!
Are they as temperamental to raise as Whitetails??

God no easy to feed and work with. Never lost one working them. Run them in and grab them and do whatever you need to do with them. If they die just dig a hole no testing required no CWD expense. Plus they are awesome pets and have good value.

How much do you sell them for ,price comparable to whitetails?

I raise 70 to 100 lambs a year and sell them for 2000 to 3500. almost every year. This last year was one of the first year I haven't sold them so dropped the price to 1000 so I could make pen space for the new lambs coming in May. Went on a new site ( wild sheep and hybrids group ) and sold them and thirty others I had that we were of lessor percent of wild sheep in three days. I was sick and didn't do my selling that I usually do is why I had sheep left over.
I plan to keep many this year to increase my herd with LAP AI stock I will raise in May. I have pre sold 18 2018 unborn lamb Sales have always been good for me on sheep.

We live in the Michigan in the thumb, 4 miles from Lake Huron. We are in, the lower snow belt. We have been working on our new flock for 3 years. The breeds we have is a cross between American Black Belly & Mouflon. Big horns we also have a cross of 1/3 Western Big Horn, and 2/3 Mouflon mix. The reason for the mix is our humidity, pneumonia is kept at a minimum. Our farm is a little over 100 acres. I am hoping to be upto 200 sheep this year. Both breeds are very aggressive, especially any ram that we were forced to bottle feed at birth. I am looking to expand my hunting market. All hunting ranches in my area are much more than a 2 mile hunting ranch. I would like to find outlets, with ranches that are about 20,000 in acre.
