The final market for our product (animals/deer) is hunting preserves.

North Dakota needs help.

Have any of you seen the commericals by the Humane Society that are being run in ND?

North Dakota is the first in line, and if successful, others states will be attacked.

So either show your support, or kick the dogs off the sofa and make room for that Maxbo son, and loner daughter and hide the remote. They are sort of hard to house break, but you can just tell the grandkids those are nasty tasting black/brown jelly beans.

Hi Ray,

Ray is really right on here guys. As one of the few guys left in Montana I can tell you your animals will be reduced too pets if the initiative passes in North Dakota. I would bet that only 5 producers in this state of Montana are still making any money after the initiative was approved in Montana. The fact that it forces that states industry people to take their animals out of state causes more pressure on the hunting facilities and competition for sales in other states.

This is a great time for me to explain why my email address is petmanjack. Many of my fellow producers have said they thought I was an animal activist with that email address. What it was is my statement of what the initiative did to my animals and this industry. Reduced them from profit making livestock to pets.

Really though we all need to support North Dakota because if the industry does lose we all lose in the long run. This attack on private property and our way of life will only grow if the antis have a win in North Dakota. Help in any way you can as your way of life is on the line.

The only way that we can reach the voters is through the media. That means Radio, TV and newspapers.

The ND associations have media ready and plans in place, all they need is money.

BTW, I have only seen a couple of deer broke to lead on a leash. If we were to start to develope a deer racing inductry, I have seen a few very exceptional prospects, but I think we will have to select for smaller antlers, for less wind resistance.
