How many deer per pen

Hi guys,

Just wanted to know how many deer people are keeping per pen and what size pen are you using? How many pens as well would be a good start to know as well.

8-10 deer per acre pen. I think some people will say 10-12 per acre. I started off with two pens that were connected together. A year later I added 3 more. all 5 pens are connected by isle ways so I can run deer to any pen. I would recommend you go and visit a few farms to get your own ideas for what best works on your property.

Im not sure how much green would be left on the ground with 10-12 deer on an acre of land.

I have 6 per acre now, Still alot of green grass. That may change when I bump it up to 8 per. I think if its planted with clover n such, itll stay somewhat green, Except in the winter, Geesh what a mud pit hahaha
