BRF Thunderstruck is a BRF Patrick Jr. grandson and on the dam side the great grand-sire is Avalanche over Thunder a (Lester) grandson on top of a Mo. Geronimo doe. BRF Thunderstruck's sire was BRF Crossfire who scored 231 @ 2. Fortunately I bred with Crossfire as a yearling because unfortunately September of 2009 Crossfire and BRF Patrick Jr. locked antlers and they both died.
As a 2 year old Thunderstruck had a couple of 15" tines and good mass but I had no idea he had the potential to put on the kind of tine length that he did. I'm thinking that the the major influence contributing to the tremendous tine length goes back to Lester, because I sold a buck many years ago named TNT, a direct Lester son and he produce a buck named RPM and from what I remember he was a very long tined big typical.
I need some help estimating his score. I took the pictures on 7-27-2012. I'm estimating his score at 320". What do you think?
Earl from G.L.S.S. will be collecting semen on October 16, 2012.
Hopefully he will get a good collection.
