I wanted to thank Roger Pietrowski for selling us IR Dolly. I think she will make a great addtion to our herd and fit right in our breeding program in the coming years. She is bred to W-0079 this year. I wrote out the pedigree and good grief the Pebbles in there just jumps out at you from every direction.

Thanks again Roger!

Here is a link to the pedigree of the fawns to come.

You also got her at a good price man!!! Congrats!!! Too bad she wasn't located at dream ranch so you don't have a long drive...

Thank you Josh for your purchase, and for your years of great friendship. You were and remain a valued part of my circle of friends. I can't think of a better person to have gotten Dolly. You truly know and understand the genetics of her. Some people just have deer, and some are true breeders. You are a world class breeder in the industry.

You have a way with words Roger. I guess im  JUST one of those guys... That have deer....I guess I better throw in the towel and quit doing AI! I couldnt resist LOL!!     Eldon

LOL Eldon your a good hearted guy with a sense of humor! And I know your smart enough to know what I meant after all these years of sharing our thoughts. However I know some aren't so I can clairify my meaning for those couple of folks.

Some people make wise choices for what bucks to use in what does they have. They make crosses based on a plan and not just what is the latest hot flavor of the week. Production should always be their main objective. Production pays the bills, demonstrates their farms true potential and will give them the self satisfaction of having accomplished something in the industry. A true breeder isn't the guy who manages to paint the illusion of value in their animals but rather shows it by what walks around in their pens. And not a purchased buck but rather a home grown trophy animal. Pedigrees on paper show an animals history and that is awesome and needed. The real value of a pedigree though is when the end result walks inside the pens. What I consider a true breeder is the person who makes a cross based on a well thought out plan. And when the offspring walk the pen they aren't surprised by the result because the plan was in place. The antler is what was expected. The production of the females is what was expected. The breeder has gratitude to those who came before them in the industry. He has gratitude to God for being given the opportunity to raise such amazing animals.

We all want to make money in the industry. However for some the dollar outweighs friendships and experiences. They might profit monetarily but not on a personal level.

Wish all of you a Happy New Year!
