dtala said:EHD presents itself in several different ways and is not always easy to spot, esp if you cannot/don't put close eyes on em every morning/evening. This time of year I'd use a feeding schedule that runs the feeder dry and you have to put feed out twice a day, forcing the deer to come up to eat and be looked at. Close....
the swollen mouth/drooling is one and easy to spot
lameness in all four feet, not wanting to walk, and not coming to feed, no swollen mouth/drooling
and some just don't look right, you can see it in their eyes, dull and pained. No swollen mouth, no drooling, no lameness.
at the first sign of something wrong like the above hit em hard with Dex...yesterday.
