Late birth - can she breed?

Wonder if everybody could give your opinion on a situation. I have a doe that breed late. She will drop her fawns in the next week or so. So she was breed in March 2015. We do not have plans to bottle feed and will let them nurse on the momma.

We are not giving her high expectations on being to be able to breed this year because of the fawns and late birth, but is there ANY chance she will cycle during the rut? We are located in South Alabama so some of the native deer breed late into Feb/March. Anybody had experience with this? We will probably pull the buck in February this year so we don’t end up in the same situation.

Thanks

Pull the fawns December 1 & she will probably breed within 30 days. Especially if she is in with other does that cycle.

I had a doe have twins on Sept. 10th and she live bred back with the rest of the deer and fawned normal the next year.  I left the fawns on her all winter.
