Hello,

I have had a growing interest over the last year in starting my own deer farm and yesterday I attended the United Deer Farmers of Michigan Convention in Mount Pleasant, MI. By attending, I confirmed that this is something I really did want to do based off the way everyone talked about how much they love what they do and watching the Conquest200 DVD that was being handed out at the convention. From watching some of the DVD I have come to notice there is a TON of information to learn and the best way to gain this information is having an opportunity to experience and talk to experts first hand. With that being said, does anyone know of farms in Michigan that offer this type of experience? Or is there another way I should go about gathering information?

Good Afternoon - Many deer farmers are happy to give you insight and advice in starting a deer farm. I would contact as many as you can, and arrange for farm visits. I am happy to speak with you regarding the Michigan cervid industry. My husband and I serve on the board of directors of the United Deer Farmers of Michigan and raise whitetails. Please feel free to give me a call.

Regards,
Gina Bozzer
