As I posted back in Jan i will make that part short. Had to dart him in the cold (low-15) that night and a week later he was showing signs of what we think was the start of pneumonia. Treated him and things seemed to clear up very nicely but not long after he has this cough thing going on. It has gotten a lot better to the point some days he hardly does it at all to some days I hear him a number of times...I make maple syrup so I have been in the woods in ear shot of the pen all day long for the past few weeks almost every day. When he coughs it seems more like a smokers cough/hack and he always puts his head out and down when he does this. Other then that he looks good, eats/drinks good and runs around goofing off with the does with no problem with breathing of causing him to cough.
From what I have been reading on here I have come to the conclusion that it is chronic pneumonia, lung worms or maybe could be a side effect of darting him in the cold. I did just treat with safeguard 10days ago but I'm under the impression that that won't do anything for lung worms if that is the case. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated....still/willing to learn as much as I can.
