I have had a 2 year old doe in labor for two days. She wasn't due to deliver until May 18. This is her first breeding, an AI to Lethal Weapon. Anyways, she did finally pass the first fawn and it was dead. Apparently died in the womb several days ago. The vet came out tonight, but decided not to give her any injections and wait to see if nature can take care of this issue.
He did advise that we could give her LATALYSE, to help induce the contractions to pass the remaining fawn and afterbirth, but neither of us knew the dosage rate for the drug.
This is where I need some advice. Has anyone used Lutalyse before and what are the dosage rates?
