I love this time of year, all the Christmas songs on all the radio stations proclaiming the birth of our savior. Im actually suprised they still allow them on air in this crazy world we live in today that for the most part wants to keep pushing Christ out of Christmas. Nothing wrong with gift giving, but this day was not made special because of santa and presents, its for us to recognize the gift of Christ, so many people get to stressed about holiday shopping anymore.I am so Thankful we are still allowed to hear many great hymns on our radios this time of year. Also I am thankful for my family, my deer farming hobby and all you great fellow farmers I know as friends in person and on this little online community, and most importantly I am thankful for Gods gift. His Son. Merry Christmas to Everyone. Enjoy your day with your loved ones. When you wake in the morning, before you get out of bed take 5 minutes in prayer and Thank God for his gift, and if you don't believe, please respect those that do and show kindness to them on this special day(to them).
I am adjusting to these new forums as well. I think it may still be slower than norm for a while, but by spring we'll be getting into fawning season followed shortly by antler season. I think it'll pick up and be as good as ever.
On a side note, I didn't get what I was hoping for a Christmas gift this year, LOL...... hunting season has come and passed and despite 2 buck tags and lots of traveling and hunting in two diff, states ( and lots of $$ of course) the chance of harvesting a 140" once again eluded me for the third straight year. I didn't even see anything over 110" in 3 solid months of hunting this year!! But someday, yes someday, It will happen and it will have been worth every second and every dollar. I am thankful for every day I was able to get out, especially the days with my dad. Memories forever cherished. I am excited and ready for next year already, im trying Ohio again, I know there's some big boys there lol.
