Call EZ ID - talk to Elsie - 1-877-330-3943. We get all our microchips from them and have been using them for 16 years. Elsie is great and will take care of you. EZ ID is a sponsor of our TV show so please support those who support us.

How much do you pay for the E-Z Id tags I use to pay them $7-8 each than I put an national program together for deer farmers with Destron Fearing (worlds largest ID tag maker and micro chip maker). We can sell them for $3.50 each and and still make a small profit. Keep up the great job on your show and visit us any time on Whitetail Exchange or Quest. Our way to support our customers is to pass along the savings. Apple Creeks team have switched over one year and have not seen any change other than the great savings.

It depends on how you buy the microchips as to the cost. Preloaded cost more than loose. We buy them loose and buy larger quantities so get them at a competitive price to what you are selling them for. I don't think the price has hardly changed since we started buying them many years ago from EZ ID. We also like the personal service we get year after year from Elsie.

what do you use to read the chips? do you do this so as not to use ear tags ?

thank you , good info.

You need a scanner to read the microchip. We've had very good luck placing them in the skin right behind the ear. They rarely lose them. We use this as our primary form of ID for our inventory. Also, if selling a deer to a hunting preserve you have an ID that isn't visible. It is also a recognized official ID most places.

Thank you for posting all the good information you have posted I have never liked the big plastic ear tags and this will be a great way to go

The more you pay for scanner the farther away you can scan. I do believe. they get gooder and gooder and goodest.

Scott thank you for the great service you gave to me. I really appreciate the extra mile you and Lisa went for me.
