When you have a good mule deer buck hunting facilities will buy them. Mule deer are very hard to raise in moist areas. Very few people are able to raise them back east. They seem to be more prone to intestine problems. A mule deer has to be in perfect health to grow a good set of antlers. They really are better kept with browse as this makes the system work better.
This is one of the reasons I plan to cross my whitetail with mule deer and then go back to mule deer for mule deer looks. I hope to make a animal that can live better either east or west with more of a whitetail system.
