Those of us with hunting preserves just can't make any of these late August or fall sales. We will have hunters the end of August already - which is a good thing!

That is GREAT that you are remaining busy! Keep up the hunts and maybe you will get a chance to visit us at the auction online! Would love to see ya there. AND...... you have to advertise to keep YOUR name in front of the hunters! Keep us in mind!!

There just really is no good time of year to have the sales so all a person can do is set the dates and hope as many can make it make it. And if not the on-line way works great also.

Spring is fawning time

Mid summer is still fawns

Fall is hunts and testing and antler cutting.

Winter is still hunts and if it is after the hunts it gets too late to move a bred doe after the sale.

And then we are back to spring again.

It just is what it is;)

That is certainly how it feels around here as well Roger! We already have close to 50 babies on the ground. We are supposed to be entertaining a "FIRST GRADE CLASS" tomorrow on the farm...... but the rain may keep them away.

If I would have known they were this soft I would have talked to the farmers about leaving them on the farms. I could have loaded up

We all know where things are it is no surprise.........I am just hoping and praying I can weather the the storm!

Even the so called "big" farms were down..Just goes to show you that our economy is not getting better..We need a new pres. bad!!!

I hate to disagree but the sale i watched today i counted 15 of what i call bigger farms that averaged $11,550. I would hate to average out the others. On a positive note there were some farms on there that i would not call bigger names and they got paid nice for the good deer they sold.It shows that if you can afford to spend big money to get some of these deer you can get a return for your investment, anything else you might be lucky to get back the feed that you put in it!!
