G'day all, in honour of the season I'd like to share my favourite Christmas song. "How to make gravy" by Paul Kelly.

It's not your typical song for the season,& I've never found myself in Joe's position, yet I know what it's like to be away from family & this song really strikes a chord with me for that reason.

I hope you take the time to "search it" & reply with your own Christmas favourites & why they are special to you.

All The Very Best to You & You'rs

Cheers Sharkey

I don't really get into the Christmas music like some do, but it is hard to not be moved singing Silent Night at Christmas Eve candlelight service.

" all i want for Christmas is you" you can be a loved one, a friend, and your relationship with Jesus Christ! hope you all have a joyful season

Oh Holy Night sang to the soft touch of the piano keys.......no I cant play the piano....God has given me many gifts but at 54 I am still waiting for that one

Merry Christmas everyone

Any sang by Gene Autry, Marty Robbins, Elvis or Bing Crosby. That's the performers. Too many beautiful lyrics with spiritual significance to choose any particular song. One of the most beautifully composed, if it may be said, is "What Child is This". It was sang to the melody of the 1400 century English folk song "Green Sleeves" which was the first song I learned to play on the guitar. Merry Christmas.

I have to jump in on this thread. Little drummer boy sang by Bob Seger is one of my favorite songs ever. Merry Christmas !
