Has anyone ever seen this? I have a doe in a breeder pen, 2 1/2 years old, and the other day she was all lovey with the yearling buck in the next pen. Now the buck in with her was no where around and I thought he might have been a little more protective of her.
Yesterday it was the same way with those two again, rubbing noses and all that. I AI'd here last year and she didn't take and she never had fawns from the breeder buck either. So as Im thinking about all this I remembered she acted the same way last year with the same buck, in the next pen, last year. I said to myself if thats the buck you want, okay. I let her out took her down the alley way and put her in with him. They did their business right away! I left her in there and I hated that because she has not been with any of those does. This morning she was at the gate ready to go back to her regular pen so I put her back in there. The breeder buck in there does not care about her at all. I definitely do not understand this. Why doesnt he like her? Thanks in advance. Eldon PS I almost missed her getting bred again!
