I had a nice time last weekend going around to a few PA farms.
John Ervins place was first.....He has amazing bucks! Its hard to pick a favorite, but if I had to Black Gold would be it! At 1 his 7X8 frame is something to look at when at side view. He is going to be one to watch. Jumbo is crazy big and Jackson is VERY surprising in person! Picture do Jackson no justice! He has an absolutely huge frame.
I went to Scott Neebs place too (Chanllow Farms). Same is true with his bucks, pictures do no justice. I think 300" deer are in his future! Im looking forward to his Goldrush/Loverboy yearling next year not having damage to one side...He is going to be a big one. I think if he didnt have that damage he would be 200" as a yearling. Im VERY happy to be the new owner of his Dam Lover Girl She is going to be a great addition to my herd.....Thank You Scott for parting with her. His Big Sir/Romeo yearling is going to be a big one too.
I also stopped at Red Ridge Whitetails on the way home. Great looking bucks too. Quest, Midnight Ranger & I really LOVED the look of a buck Called Big Fuzz! Massive long tines on this buck were very impressive. He wont have a crazy score but is just one of those bucks that a guy loves to look at.
Thanks to all that showed me around...
