possible contracted tendon in whitetail fawn

We have a 4 day old fawn that appears to have contracted tendons in his right hind leg. Any suggestions? We have heard to wrap and give IV oxytetracycline, but if IV administration is unavailable, any other ways to administer this medication? And if so how much and how often? Do we splint the leg or just wrap? He is otherwise healthy, is eating and appears alert. But does not want to bear weight on that back leg at all, and when he walks he keeps the leg up. Any advice would be appreciated.
