You can either top dress it or have it mixed straight into your feed if you use a textured feed. The Genetic Enhancer is an alfalfa based product, and the Whitetail Conditioner is more of a granular base. You can go to www.shockeffectprobiotics.com to read about the products, or you can get the contact info for Paul or Steve. They can answer any questions you may have.
They have a dispersable and a top dress. I have used the top dress for over a year now and love it. I will not change. Body weights, over all health, and condition of my animals are the best in years.
I recently used there dispersable in my bottle feeding program this year and i had fawns on pellets ( solid poo ) for most of the season. We also had our fawns started on feed and greens sooner than all the previous years of bottle feeding. It will definitely be in my fawn tool box for next year.
i use ADM feed and have mine mixed into the feed at the plant with their probiotic (cant remember the name off the top of my head) its working well for me. one thing i really like about it is not having to mix it in when its feeding time.
Fastrack made by Conklin is another good one, is good for over all health, building immunity. I also use Shock Effect for antler growth, but Fastrack for over all health.
So does that mean one product wont do all or is one product will grow (extra) antlers and the other is for the health of the deer.I was led to believe one of the products did both??????????
Mike, some probiotics are only designed for general health and others will do both. The issue with the antler products is that they are typically lower in bacteria count due to the fact that they have amino acids and other ingredients added to them. There is only so much room in a given space and as you add ingredients you lose bacteria count. Keep in mind it is more important to get the right combinations of bacteria, amino acids and other ingredients as they all work together. We could offer a probiotic that would have 35 billion per gram the problem is it is more important to get strain specific for whitetail in the correct ratios. To answer your question for general health I would suggest a microencapsulated probiotic that has been specifically designed for whitetail. There are many to choose from.
