Purina feed

I was using Breeder elite 300 it is textured. great feed but I quit using it because the price just kept going up till it got ridiculous. almost $20.00 a bag.

I started using Max Rax 16% pellet $13.50 a bag

We feed Antlermax 20% and also some alfalfa and a little corn. WE have used the Antlermax for 9 years now and like the consistency. We also like having a Purina rep we can call on if we have any issues. We have tried the textured feed but still are having some issues with birds.

I use textured purina I give 560.00 ton. thats a lot to pay for feed but my deer love it. I mix another feed with it that is 15% to cut down on the cost it is 260.00 a ton

We use the Antler Max Deer Chow 20 complete forage, my cost right now is 16.81/bag from my purina supplier in Sublette IL. Deer seem to love it and they appear very healthy, I mix it with 10% corn. Almost setup for bulk deliveries but havent gotten prices on bulk as of yet since I only have 8 deer right now and they require a 2 Ton minimum for bulk deliveries, will be getting three more bred does next week and will see what my usage is per day, as right now I get a pallet (40 bags/1 Ton) at a time and I go through about a bag every 4 days right now so by the end of next week I will probably be up to a full bag every other day.

I use Antlermax 20% and love it. Seems my deer have ALOT less issues when their on it. Just bigger and healthier. The price got crazy so I started blending another feed with it to lower the cost. Hopefully the closer we get to farming season the price of feed will come down. When I started deer farming 5 years ago it was $10.50 a bag and now is well over $16. If we have another bad corn crop next year it's gonna get ugly.

Thanks everyone I bought two bags of the twenty percent pellet and two bags of the new 17 or 18 percent feed with 6 percent fat witch is the textured feed I decided to go with the twenty percent pellet because of price and I noticed my deer were picking certain things out with the textured feed. Does anyone that feed the 20 percent mix in anything else and do you feed the twenty all year around?

We feed the 20% all year. We do mix in some corn, more or less depending on the time of year. WE also feed alfalfa in the winter. Even though the Purina feed is a complete feed, deer will do better if they have some browse in order to form a cud. Chewing a cud aids in digestion. We do not add any probiotics or anything like that - we don't need to.
