For anyone that is interested in putting together a plan to recruite new hunters to hunt inside high fences post ideas on here or priviate message me and lets get this going ....

I know little of web sights except with out one you are in the stone ages. I suggest a huge sight showing bucks shot on ranches with testimonials. The main focus of the testimonial is not the hunting ranch but the experience the hunter had. We need to break down the wall between high fence, low fence and no fence. There are still a lot of hunters out there who when they hear the words high fenced hunting, the first thing they think of is CANNED HUNTS. I feel if we can neutralize this mind set we can not raise enough shooters.

A web site is a lot less expensive than giving away shooter bucks to make that may or may not show on TV. An elaborate site that is only be a click from every one who has a computer

Website would be cheap..... That is a good idea ..We will have to use some marketing to get the website to get enough hits to do any good... this is why i thought TV might be a good idea..

what are some possible names that would represent the message we are trying to convey to the viewers?? This might be the most important part

Kurt-you did a fine job with the industry's PR when you hosted the show. I saw it when it aired...did you get any calls from that show having been on TV?

We did get a bunch of calls but just like any advertising. Normally alot of calls and book a few hunts .. My idea was to maybe get some of the big guys in the hunting industry on board with us and i think the rest will be history.. We don't have to have lee and tiffany but someone popular enough that the people will respect their opinion. Larry weishuhn already hunts high fences. He would be a good represenative. I think we have to paint a picture that high fences are the best possible way to manage a whitetail herd. To have the perfect situation where the rut is the best it can be and the buck and doe ratio is in check.. I have hunters every year that have hunted for 30 plus years and never seen a buck actually breed a doe, snort weez or a huge buck fight. Its a great place to take women and kids to start them hunting because the deer numbers are high and it is safe from all the other public land hunters..

Maybe target some big name NFL players like Brett Fayre. Lots of these guys hunt and if put on hunting shows many would watch. All who help sponser or donate certain amount could have their preserve advertised. At the same time preserves could offer some kind of specials for first time hunters behind a high fence.

I don't have a preserve but could donate a shooter or two.

With the upcoming launch of the new iHuntAmerica.com service, the American Deer & Wildlife Alliance is inviting game ranches and outfitters (belonging to ADWA-member organizations) to submit their information for a free basic listing on iHuntAmerica.com, a comprehensive database of hunting ranches, game preserves and outfitters.

Currently, ADWA member organizations include:

• North American Deer Farmers Association

• Exotic Wildlife Association

• Indiana Deer & Elk Farmers Association

• Kentucky Alternative Livestock Association

• Pennsylvania Deer Farmers Association

• Whitetails of Wisconsin

• Cervid Livestock Foundation

• Texas Deer Association

• Texas Bison Association

• U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance

• Amateur Trapshooters Associations

If you are a member of any of these organizations, and you want a basic listing on iHuntAmerica.com for your hunting ranch or outfitting business, please call 877.331.8607 or email [email protected].

Operated as a member service by ADWA, iHuntAmerica.com will allow sportsmen to freely search and locate hunts by price, animal species, hunt type, guide service and/or lodging facilities. The site will also feature hunting gear and products, classified ads, field journals, picture gallery, hunting tips and much more.

Full page listings and product features on iHuntAmerica are one of the many benefits of a Business Elite membership in ADWA.

All ideas are good. Each having their positives and negatives. TV has and always will be used. Can be some what expensive. Some one has to furnish the deer, hunting ranch, camera crew and air time. After all that the targeted viewer has to be in front of the TV.

Some people spend more time in from of the computer than the TV.

I am not talking about a little web site just sitting there waiting for some one to hit it. I talking a site that seeks you out. If you type in any key words our site will pop up. Also have a server to up date site daily and keep it on top.

To you computer whizzes is this possible

I would be happy to host some hunts at my hunting ranch for young kids, women or vets.... We are here in missouri. If anyone down this way wants to donate shooters to the cause .. I can also supply the camera crew if we decide to video the hunt ....

The Website can be done.. What kind of content do we want on it ... how do we want it formated.. Very Very important.. what are we going to call ourselves?

Kurt,

If you want to host hunts for Kids, You should contact Brigid O’Donoghue (user name USSA) she does some great things for disabled kids and vets. She put me in contact with a kid this past week that is wanting to turkey hunt when I called and talked to his mother and set somthing up from him the joy and happyness that came from her about had me in tears by the time I got off the phone.

I feel the focus of the site should reflect the experience, benefits and excitement of hunting behind high fence with out listing the hunting ranch. If the hunting ranch is listed the ranch is now the focus. Get the hunters excited first. Then at the click or the mouse give a list of ranches state by state on the sight.

Yes I whole heartily agree with kids hunts, disability hunts. And other such hunts. We do several every year. It is a touching experience for all there.

How ever I personally fear if we do not handle this type of hunting right. The hunting public will label ranch’s as the place where the handy caped go to kill an animal.

We advertise: Our Ranch was designed by hunters for hunters

Just a though that has been on my mind

Kurt,

My wife told me Cornbread started hunting 2years ago and has not been successful yet. This guy has a morning show in St Louis 92.3 WIL and he has talked about his hunting adventures on his morning show he even has people rooting for him to be successful.

"I'm just saying"

As a preserve owner and guide, I can "make" a hunt hard or easy, I know where the deer travel, cameras tell me where they will most likely be..... I can turn a one day hunt into a three day hard hunt with an eleventh hour success

That is a good idea jerry ...lets see where this whole thing goes .. that might be a possibility
