On the 1st of May Joe Peachy, Harry Strawser, my son Hunter and I went to Saskatchewan on a 6 day bear hunt, this footage was from the first evening of hunting. I didnt want to tag out with 5 days left, so I decided not to shoot. This bear nearly forced me to shoot him.We had a ball. Darren

Should have taken the buck pen mace can with ya. Pretty neat though I bet your adrenaline was pumpin. Do you guys bear hunt much or is it your first time. Would have been alot of excitement for a first hunt. Did you end up harvesting a bear? Awsome video

Rick Your right, I will have bear spray with me the next time.My heart rate was certainly up,I didnt think he was going to kill me, but I thought I might break a leg jumping out of the tree.I got back at the bears later in the week,I took a bear on Thursday.I will be calling you soon. Darren

I'm ticked that you all came all this way and didn't stop by.... if you want an adreniline rush we have some 400+ lb hogs that need some attention... I once had a big old sow put the run on me when I went to climb the tree and her two cubs were already in my tree stand

Darren just to let ya know i'm Jon and Rick is my dad just so you weren't confused. Any way it looked like a once in a lifetime moment.

cool as heck Darren, was at harrys yesterday and he was telling me about the trip..

Makes you wonder how many bears you walked under while you were there....

Darren,

Now this is cool how close was your son hunter? Did you see the father to the bear on the way down the tree. This got my heart pumping.

Thanks for sharing,

Scott

Darren, great footage. What better adrenalin rush could you ask for. Was the bigger bear still there when you got to the ground? What a trip. Allen

Bacon aka Harry ,I have been wondering what a ironman outdoorsman like you would have done in that situation-You probably would have grabbed the smaller bear by the throat and used him as a weapon to slay the larger bear-either that or you would have got on your blackberry and googled "what do I do when I am scared to death and fearing for my life! LOL
