Southeastern Game Rancher’s Annual Election of Officers and Mother’s Day Banquet
SGRA’s Annual Election of Officers and Mother’s Day Banquet is scheduled for May 8 and 9, 2009 at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi, Ms In Honor of the Mothers and Wives, SGRA will be picking up the meal tab for each member and their spouse/significant other. Each member will receive two tickets to the event. If you would like to bring additional guest(s) the price for entry will be $50.00 per person, payable at the door.
Friday (May 8) will be a social day to allow members to enjoy the casino, beach, golf at one of the local resorts, or just mill around meeting other game ranchers. On Saturday morning, the board will meet to discuss any new business and prepare for the banquet and general membership meeting to be held Saturday evening.
SGRA will be reserving a block of rooms. The normal cost of rooms at the Beau Rivage Resort and Casino is $249(weekdays) and $279(weekends) per night. Our cost will be only $169 per night for both Friday and/or Saturday. We will have a cash bar and the menu will be announced soon, but we know you will have a choice of at least two entree's.
Donate something to be sold at auction and SGRA will provide you with a tax-deductible receipt for the fair market value of your donation, regardless of the sale price at the auction. We are accepting donations now.
This SGRA event promises to be our best yet! Our Officers and Board have been very busy procuring really neat items for the raffle and auction and I'm sure there will be something of interest for everyone that attends.
Ladies, we haven't forgotten y'all. There will be some items selected especially for you, that have nothing to do with hunting or animals or testosterone. We are also trying to select items of interest for the whole family as well, like vacation getaways etc.
We would like to get more items to auction and/or raffle, so while you are out and about, don't forget to ask the merchants you patronize if they would care to support our cause with a donation. If you would like to make a donation, please contact Scott Heinrich so he can catalog the item(s).
We have invited legislators, agriculture representatives, guest speakers, wildlife folks and prominent people in the industry and community to attend, so they can meet the people they have been working so hard for, and give us an opportunity to thank them. We are also having some of the kids from our adopted FFA chapter who have been selected as the #1 Chapter in the Nation in Student Innovation.
